Watching without Crying #1

Watching without crying was something I came up with during a particularly hard couple of weeks.  I really wanted to escape infertility and life.  Normally, I'm a reader..but I just couldn't get into anything.
I started watching Netflix streaming shows and while watching I noticed certain shows made me feel better or worse.  Below is the first of hopefully many more editions.  Enjoy!

Edition #1 of - Watching without Crying
**Mild spoilers**

Lie to Me - Season #1

LIE TO ME is the compelling drama series inspired by the scientific discoveries of a real-life psychologist who can read clues embedded in the human face, body and voice to expose the truth and lies in criminal investigations.
DR. Cal Lightman (Tim Roth) is the world's leading deception expert. If you lie to Lightman, he'll see it in your face and your posture, or hear it in your voice. If you shrug your shoulder, rotate your hand, or even just slightly raise your lower lip, Lightman will spot the lie. But as he well knows, his scientific ability is both a blessing and a curse in his personal life, where family and friends deceive each other as readily as criminals and strangers do.

Some teenage children throughout the season but besides that only 2 episodes where my heart hurt.

Episode #6 - Do No Harm - adoption, and babies mentioned, a short scene involving an adoption of a baby that had to be given back.  a second short scene about mentioned baby. episode about a young adopted child who was kidnapped.  no babies shown

Episode #8 - Depraved Heart - 3 different pregnancies, briefly mentioned.  babies (NICU) shown.  episode focuses on surrogacy and a very disturbing surrogacy scene

  1. An excellent idea Michelle! I've been trying to rent movies and TV shows this week to keep myself distracted and there are always things that I expect to just be eye candy when suddenly babies and giant preggo bellies pop out at you and I melt into a pile of tears again.

  2. What a good idea! I haven't seen the series "Lie to Me" yet but it always looked interesting.
