Text conversation just had with a "friend" who has 1 month old Clom.id baby & PCOS:
Dumbass: How many embryos do they implant?
Me: We haven't gotten that far yet, probably no more than 2.
Dumbass: Uh Oh You could have twins! :)
Me: Yeah..I would not prefer that..but it is what it is
Dumbass: It would be be cool!
Me: Yeah, but the early birth and health risks to me are terrifying
No response after that.

I think having twins WOULD be cool. Dumbass and I could be friends.
ReplyDeleteWe want twins. But, I do understand early birth and health risks being scary. To each their own.
ReplyDeleteUm, IMPLANT?!?!
ReplyDeleteLet me rephrase. Twins are fine. I would be thrilled to have healthy twins and be done with all this IF shit. But, I felt like she was very nonchalant about it.
ReplyDeleteLike it would just be all roses. Twin pregnancy is hard.
Wow... I feel really misunderstood here.
Transfer. It's TRANSFER!!!
ReplyDeleteI get what you're saying! The thought of twins, while a blessing, FREAKS me out and freaks my family out becuase of the health risks, low birth weight risks, financial impact. . . it's not all fun and games. . . like all we need after going through IF is preemies and months in the nicu and that added stress. My thinking may be irrational, but considering the risks (which the r.e medical community strongly communicates), I would much rather have a singleton. I totally get what you're saying. I was going to have one embie transferred on Sunday, but they did 2 becuase I had none to freeze. I was ok with it. And if we do get pregnant wtih twins-- we will accept this blessing and adapt and be happy!! But I'd be lying if I said it didn't FREAK me out.
ReplyDelete)))))implant instead of transfer(((((
ReplyDeleteIt makes my skin crawl. If they'd implant, we wouldn't have any more problems, Friends.
