ReplyDeleteYou know, if I ever get pregnant, I think I'll just tell my friends and family through my outgoing voicemail message.
Or wear a baby costume and post it on FB.
And all I want to do is yell at her "WTF, do you know how many people miscarry out there?!" Blah. I'm sick of telling people early and having to tell people I've miscarried again.

ReplyDeleteI think its super special when you actually see the "Pregant" there. Its just those of us that are infertile are overly sensitive about this and it comes accross to some as tackey or unsenstive. And @RMCarter- I am so sorry that you are experiebcing a misscarriage right now. Those of thus that have been there can feel your pain. So so sorry honey :)

Alison, you shouldn't feel bad at all! Especially here, you should never be made to feel bad for something you post somewhere that was made for it. It's not your fault someone else doesn't like it for whatever reason. Shame on them. It's just like Michelle has said several times lately, if you don't like what you read here leave.
And take your comments with you. You aren't going to magically make us change our opinions and grovel at your feet in apology. GO ELSEWHERE!

ReplyDeleteI just emailed Alison personally with an apology, and I wanted to share one here too. I am sorry. I should have just kept my comments to myself. I am sorry if what I wrote made anyone think Alison had to change her post. I shouldn't have said anything at all. I was just venting my feelings, and I guess I didn’t think it through or anticipate the consequences. The last thing I want is for someone to grovel at my feet or anything like that. Anyone who thinks I would want that sort of thing doesn't know me at all. I've seriously been misunderstood and I am sorry about that. As H.C. requested, I think I'll just "leave and take my comments with me". ;)

I don't know the person but seeing this breaks my heart just a little! A little strange she is taking the picture in a car but i suppose you do silly things when you find out your pregnant. (FB Profile pic)

ReplyDeleteEven if I were NOT infertile I would NEVER announce a pregnancy after I took a test. And even my fertile friends would not do so! Fine take the photo- I have a few photos myself after seeing that word pregnant pop up. But... I just think it's a little early.
